Last Year, er, Time…
Welcome to the first post of the official Home Field Advantage blog. In addition to taking the whole project up a notch tech-savvy-coolness wise, we want to let the parents of the youth and those that are watching the project know just what’s going on during the week. We plan to post updates and pictures every day to give an idea of the work that is being done and some other fun things as well.
If you don’t know what Home Field Advantage is, our slogan sums it up well: “Frederic area youth making a difference, starting at home”. We believe one of the hardest mission fields in the world right at home in our own backyard. Throughout the week we’ll be doing many services projects around the Frederic area, helping out with Frederic EFC’s VBS, and throwing a block party for the whole community on Sunday, August 3.
Talk to anyone who was around for the first time we did HFA back in 2005 and you’re bound to hear a reference to what we did “last year.” We’ve tried to convince Dan it was actually three years ago but it doesn’t seem to help. Anyway, here are a couple pictures from last time to get this blog started. It’s interesting how some of those involved have really changed over the years and how others haven’t…
